St. Patrick’s Day Parade

St. Louis, Missouri

Just a note that the St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be going on starting at 12pm on Saturday, March 15th. If you are planning on going towards the downtown area or places around the parade route, there could be street closures and traffic throughout the morning and afternoon. It begins at 20th and Market St, and proceeds east to Broadway and Clark St. Regularly noted as one of the top in the country, the parade is comprised of over 120 units, including marching bands, floats, huge cartoon-character balloons, 5000+ marchers, and lots of clowns.

St. Louis Gateway Arch

11 N Fourth St, St. Louis, MO 63102

An iconic St. Louis monument. The Arch is a 630 foot monument, the tallest man-made one in the United States. You can visit to just check it out or purchase a ticket to take a tram ride up to the top. There is also a free museum at the bottom of the Arch to learn more about its history.

Saint Louis Zoo

1 Government Drive, St. Louis, MO 63110

Located in Forest Park, the St. Louis Zoo is a fun time for all. Even with the cooler weather in March, animals will be out and there around 14,000 animals in our zoo. Admission is also free.

Missouri History Museum

5700 Lindell Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63112

Located in Forest Park. This building was originally constructed as the first national monument dedicated to Thomas Jefferson. It focuses on the history of Missouri, featuring exhibits on everything from the 1904 World's Fair to the civil rights movement to baseball. It is also free admission.

Saint Louis Art Museum

1 Fine Arts Drive, St. Louis, MO 63110

Another free attraction located in Forest Park. This museum offers art from five millennia and six continents. It was founded in 1879, it is home to more than 34,000 works of art.

The Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis

4431 Lindell Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63108

This has nearly 42 million glass tesserae pieces covering the interior walls. It is well known for its mosaics collection. The architecture and stunning interior of the Basilica is admired by people that decide to visit. It is free to visit.

Anheuser-Busch St. Louis Brewery

1200 Lynch Street, St. Louis, MO 63118

This well-known brewery is a staple of St. Louis. It is free to visit, but various activities such as tours and dining/drinking at the Biergarten does cost. They offer various tours that give a behind the scenes look at their beer-making process and the landmarks on the property, like the famous Budweiser Clydesdales. The tours range from roughly $15-$40 a person, are around 1-2 hours, and offer different experiences at the brewery. You do have to make a reservation to do tour through their website. The only cost for the Biergarten is any food and drink that you consume.

A favorite cafe of ours located in University City, not too far from the area as our wedding venues. They offer various breakfast, lunch, coffee, and baked goods options. We love their breakfast sandwiches and pastries there.

Kaldi’s Coffee

700 De Mun Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63105

One of our favorite coffeehouses to get coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Located in the De Mun area in Clayton, where they have been since 1994. They also have a variety of pastries and some bowls/wraps/salads as well.

The Blue Duck

2661 Sutton Boulevard, Maplewood, MO 63143

A fantastic restaurant in Maplewood, serving breakfast through dinner foods. All their food is amazing, but we especially enjoy their breakfast foods, like their St. Louberry Monte Cristo.

Mac's Local Eats

5656 Oakland Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110

Our favorite spot for smash burgers near Forest Park in St. Louis. All of their burgers are amazing. We enjoy grabbing a burger, their Ripfries (fries seasoned with Old Vienna Red Hot Riplets Seasoning), and a delicious beverage.

Mom's Deli

4412 Jamieson Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63109

Our favorite place to get sandwiches for lunch in the St. Louis area. It is a family-owned deli restaurant serving a variety of cold and hot sandwiches.

Onesto Pizza & Trattoria

5401 Finkman Street, St. Louis, MO 63109

Truly a hidden gem, this neighborhood restaurant in St. Louis is “our spot”. They have great pizza and Italian dishes. They are only open in the evening time and closed on Mondays, but if you have the available time it is well worth trying any of their food.

The Hill

St. Louis, MO

Another St. Louis staple. This is a neighborhood in St. Louis, very close to the Wild Carrot (our reception venue), that has tons of amazing Italian restaurants. Some of our favorites are Guido’s Pizzeria & Tapas, Anthonino’s Taverna, Charlie Gitto’s, and Zia’s on The Hill.

Ted Drewes Frozen Custard

6726 Chippewa Street, St. Louis, MO 63109

A classic St. Louis spot to get ice cream. This Ted Drewes location has been around in St. Louis since 1941. They are famous for their concretes and sundaes.

Baileys' Chocolate Bar

1915 Park Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63104

A nice spot for some dessert drinks and foods. While they have some appetizer like food options, they are known for their chocolate desserts and drinks.
