We met through CoffeeMeetsBagel (a mobile dating app) and our first date was Dec 10th, 2016 where we shared a bunch of dim sum (expect some at the wedding). Nadav was spending a lot of time in Tel Aviv and Tami was traveling the world while job searching. From the moment we met, the conversation started flowing and we were both at ease. Even though our mutual travel schedules made in person time limited, we decided to give it a shot. Within a few months, Nadav started spending more time in Manhattan and our love blossomed. On October 2 2017, we got engaged and started planning an awesome wedding for all of you. (There is obviously a much longer version of this story, but we prefer to tell it over some good food and wine.)
We toyed with a worldwide celebration in many cities, but decided that it was better to throw one big ridiculously amazing party with all of our friends and family than dilute the experience by splitting up the energy. We chose NYC because it's where we fell in love, where we live, and is a pretty centralized location for friends and family who will be traveling from Israel, California, France, Miami, and other destinations. The wedding activities will all be in downtown so that even the NYers will get to have some touristy experiences as part of our our wedding.
One of many random things we have in common is that BOTH of our parents were married on Sept 2nd. We figure there's no better tradition to continue and we hope you agree.
