The Villa is in a quiet, peaceful location away from Como’s better-trodden tourist paths, so it’s best to hire a car to explore the surrounding area. From Milan or Malpensa Airport, Villa Vittoria is easily reached via the A9 highway to Como Laghi. Exit At Como Nord; past Bennet supermarket on the left, take the SS 340 towards Menaggio. At the crossroads after Moltrasio and Carate Urio, turn right towards Laglio along the Vecchia Regina road. The hotel is on the left before you reach the shops and restaurants – look for the red building marked Vecchia Strada Regina Teodolinda, the hotel is at number 62.

Bus

You can get a bus just outside the airport to Milano Centrale. As soon as you exit from the arrival door, there will be buses in front from different companies going to Milano Centrale. Just make sure that the bus is going to Milano Centrale. Tickets can be bought online or directly from the bus.

Train

Trenord

When at Milano Centrale take the train to Como San Giovanni. The Trenord train, the best thing will be to go to the ticket office to buy your ticket and direct you where to go. From Como San Giovanni, you may get a taxi or a bus (number C10 or C20) and head to Laglio and NOT to Como Centre. The ride is 25-30 mins. The buses pass from the train station every hour/ half hour. The tickets can be bought directly from the cafe at the train station. The C10 will stop at a bus stop (Toriggia - bivio panoramica) just 6 mins walk from the villa and the C20 will stop at a bus stop (Toriggia - selve - Via regina 70/87) just 3 mins walk from the villa. MAKE SURE TO TO TELL THE BUS DRIVER YOUR STOP as the bus only stops when requested, as there's lots of stops. Taxis are usually around next to the train station and it's definitely more comfortable when having lots of luggage.
