We will not be providing transportation from Milan to Lake Como, we will be renting a car ourselves so that we can do some exploring. If you don't want to rent a car, there are buses, taxis's or trains that we hear are amazing. Please see details on our Travel page for instructions on rental cars, buses, taxi's and trains.
Yes! We would love for everyone to join us in Milan on June 26th. We are planning a night out for everyone to celebrate being in Italy. Destination information coming soon!
The wedding party will be staying in the villa where the ceremony will be held. For all other guests, you are free to stay anywhere you like! We have included some amazing hotel options on the website and there are some really beautiful AirBnb's in the area. We do recommend that you look into booking something sooner than later though as it is definitely busy season during the summer. We are still working out the plan for the entire trip but we will be in Lake Como 6/28/22 to 6/30/22. We will also be looking to do something un in Milan before the wedding on 6/26/22 and we hope everyone can make plans to be there as well!
Yes, all guest of the wedding are invited to join us for a day at the pool! We are still working on a time that we are thinking for this and some other details but there is a kitchen at the resort for food and wine. Please bring your pool attire!
If your invitation says “and Guest” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you. We are looking to keep the guest count at a certain number.
Afternoon Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses and dressy jumpsuits in lighter hues, and jackets and slacks.
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! We can connect you to a couple of babysitters to make that a reality.
The villa has a private parking spaces for 6 to 8 cars just up the road (towards Tremezzo) but there is also plenty of free parking on the opposite side of the road.
We will be arriving by boat! The boat will be transferring everyone back n forth to both villas.
Stay Tuned!! After we spend a couple extra days by the lake, we will be looking to venture out to explore some other amazing places Europe has to offer. We are looking into the possibility of heading into Switzerland then Greece and Croatia after the wedding and we will be in Northern Italy for a couple of days before we head to Milan. We welcome anyone who wants to join us at any of these destinations!
Right now, there are some pretty good deals on economy flights to Milan for about $1,200 Round Trip (Out of Austin) but there are also better deals when flying into a larger city like London or Paris. Norwegian Air is actually about to start direct flights from Austin to Paris, which is about a 9 hour flight time for about $450 one way on 7/3/21! You can also plug in your desired destination and timeframe into https://www.skyscanner.com/ and the site will keep you updated on when the pricing goes up and down. Google Flights has this feature as well.
Once you get to Europe, There are really 2 main options that you can choose from, Plane and Train. We hear some of the train options are very beautiful and worth checking into if you have the time. They can be very lengthy though and we are usually trying to hit as many places as possible while there so we have not experienced them yet. The flights throughout the different countries are relatively cheap. For those flights, you can usually look to get the best flights 4-6 months out from the travel time frame and can plug these into the flight tracker as well. One thing we will say if you are looking into visiting multiple countries throughout the trip.. Definitely be aware of baggage requirements!!!! We did this a couple of years ago and booked through different airlines only to find ourselves moving our items around at the airport to make the weight. Also, EasyJet is probably your cheapest option but they are the worst with the baggage requirements!
