FAQs

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please be sure to indicate specific allergies on the RSVP, and we will plan accordingly.

Question

At the ceremony, what precautions are being taken to promote the health and safety of guests?

Answer

First, we ask you stay home if you are not feeling well leading up to or on the day of the wedding. We will be providing custom masks to everyone, which will be required to be worn while in the church. Upon entry, guests will be ushered into the church to an area which will allow for sufficient spacing to promote social distancing. No programs will be distributed. While there will be music, there will be no singing. For those who will be receiving communion, you will remain standing at the appropriate time, and eucharistic ministers will come to you to distribute in the hand. After the ceremony, guests will be dismissed out in groups just as they entered. Please note that these guidelines are being set as of June in St. Louis and are subject to change as August approaches. We will do our best to update these FAQs as best we can.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 2pm CST. Since each group of guests will be ushered in to a specific area of the church to abide by social distancing, we ask friends and family to arrive at least a half hour before the ceremony begins.

Question

How will the trolley operations be organized to promote the safety and health of guests?

Answer

The trolleys will pick up from the hotel and transport guests to the reception they will be best organized by family grouping as a means to give guests ample opportunity to choose seats near familiar faces. The trolleys will have signage indicating which bus is assigned to each family. This will stay in place throughout the evening, with trolleys available to take guests back to the hotel in convenient intervals. Before and between transports, the trolleys will also be cleaned and sanitized to maximize cleanliness.

Question

At the reception, what precautions are being taken to promote the health and safety of guests?

Answer

Defiance Ridge Vineyard has been open and operating with social distancing guidelines since the beginning of May. There will be a number of measures taken to make sure everyone feels safe: - Floor indicators of six foot spacing throughout the venue - Drinks will be served at the main bar area at the entrance to the venue to help prevent lines from forming - The layout of the space allows for plenty of options to spread out indoors and outdoors - Hand sanitizing stations throughout the venue - We will do our best to seat dinner guests by family and friend groups - The dance floor will be outdoors under a canopy, and there is greenspace and patios to spread out and get your boogie on

Question

I'm not familiar with the St. Louis area. Where is everything located?

Answer

DoubleTree Hotel in Chesterfield to SFX College Church: 20 miles in 20 minutes by heading east on 64 E / US 40 E. The parking lot on Laclede is about a block away from the church. DoubleTree Hotel to Defiance Ridge Vineyard: 17 miles in 20 minutes by heading west on 64 W / US 40 W to MO-94 W. While guests will have the trolleys available for transport to and from the hotel, if you drive yourself there is plenty of parking at the venue.
