If you come in on Thursday, be sure to check out Farmer's Markey. The shut down the main road every Thursday evening 6pm-9pm for food, produce, music, and more!
Downtown is super cute and walkable. Go for a stroll and support one of the many amazing local businesses.
Pretty Gross, but a fun little gem in Downtown SLO
One of the best in San Luis Obispo, this classic lunch spot known for creative and tasty sandwiches. We recommend ordering online ahead of time. They also have another location in Los Osos should you find yourself out at Montana De Oro!
The other best sandwich place in town. The High Street Deli/Lincoln debate will never be fully resolved. This is Kathryn's favorite, and she recommends the Anholm Sweet Home, Festival Girl, or one of their breakfast burritos.
We love this place for breakfast. Trust us, the waffles are worth the 20 minute drive from SLO!
Our friend Aaron and his wife run this great little wine label! Be sure to pay them a visit and also check out the other awesome businesses in Duncan Alley.
The central coast is full of amazing wineries. The Edna Valley area has tons to choose from!
The other great brewery in town
A great place for a hike or bike ride with a great view of the ocean! For hiking, the bluffs trail is flat and along the coast, and Valencia Peak will get your heart pumping. If you're on a bike Oates and Hazards Peaks are the classics. Check out Spooner's Cove if relaxing on the beach is more your style.
Another great spot for a morning bike ride or hike. Super Scenic! The parking lot does fill up fast so we suggest getting there early or parking on the ocean side of highway 101.
For our land locked visitors that need a taste of the ocean, this is of the best beaches in the area and is almost always nice and sunny. The beach in downtown Avila has a cute promenade with coffee shops and restaurants.
Cerro San Luis is a great spot for a quick morning hike or bike ride. The lemon grove loop is a quick and easy hike. If you're looking for something more challenging, the base look is a little longer and offers mixed terrain, or hike straight up the road to the top for some of the best views in SLO.
