About 5 minutes. It's approximately .15 miles from Bishop street where you can access the fire road to the top. There is about 70' of elevation gain so it may be difficult (but not impossible) to walk up this in heels!
Absolutely not. The ride to the reception is optional. If you would like to ride but don't have a bike or won't have a bike with you, reach out to one of the local bike shops, such as Foothill Cyclery or Art's Cyclery to rent a bike. Also, many of the local hotels also have bikes to borrow.
We recommend bringing a commuter style or townie bicycle. The ride will be completely paved. We will have someone at the bottom of the hill watching all of the bicycles during the ceremony, and bike racks at the reception, but we would recommend a lock if you are concerned or plan on using your bike for other things during the weekend. i.e. should we end up downtown after the reception.
IT'S TOTALLY UP TO YOU! It's more important to us that you are able to join us than it is for your kids not be be there, so bring them if that makes your life easier. If you prefer to leave them at home and have a child-free weekend, that's fine too, we just expect you to dance as aggressively as you tiny human would.
We request that guest dress colorfully. We want the joy and excitement we have for this day to be reflected in everyone's outfits. Go for fancy and/or flamboyant
