Breana and Myles met during their undergraduate college experience at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama. They had a few encounters during Myles' Freshman year (2012). However, Breana being a year ahead of Myles did not give him the time of day. She, in fact, readily forgot his name. On several occasions, Breana excused Myles altogether as some scrawny freshman (a fair assessment). When Myles returned to school his sophomore year, Breana couldn't help but notice his new muscles, full beard, and that he had his own car. She didn't even realize it was the same freshman she was shooing away just a year earlier. While she was somewhat interested, Breana told herself they'd meet eventually. Over the years attending Oakwood, Myles and Breana would have various interactions. Breana would occasionally catch Myles' performances during "Art n Soul" shows; their school's groundbreaking poetry collaborative, further piquing her interests. Eventually, Breana realized that Myles was probably far too introverted ever to speak to her on his own, so Breana took matters into her own hands. Despite Myles' love to fly under the radar, Breana would call out to Myles in public spaces, yelling "Myles!" and waving to get his attention. Despite the long-standing crush Myles had on Breana, the attention caught him off guard, and he would panic every time. During Breanas' final year, they would become friends, she would also take this time to deny ever forgetting Myles' name, a blatant lie. Breana would graduate and return to her home city of Atlanta, Georgia. Myles, graduating a year after Breana, would move to Michigan to begin his graduate program. The two would lose contact during these three years. After completing his program, Myles would accept a career opportunity in none other than Atlanta, Georgia. The two would reconnect and begin dating shortly after. After two years of dating, Myles knew Breana was all that he had ever prayed for. With tears in her eyes, Breana agreed to marry Myles on September 1, 2024.
