“Join us as we celebrate our love”

At the Blairsville Scottish festival in 2022, JJ asked for the clan tent beside him to be relocated due to a clash between the two clans. This left an empty space, which happened to be where Myken's clan tent was hastily added. Throughout the day, we engaged in lively conversation. By day's end, JJ persuaded me to join the 4th of July Parade of Scots. Since then, fate seems to keep placing us side by side at various events. Now, we work together in both of our clan tents, lending each other a hand whenever needed.

JJ treated me to lunch at a unique seafood restaurant named Six Feet Below. Once a part of the cemetery across the road, it's now transformed into a charming seafood eatery. It was there, amidst the ambiance of the past and the flavors of the sea, that he popped the question.

Black - symbolic of water, that your union may flow and fill you to your depths. 8. Purple - symbolic of royalty, that your union may be worthy of respect and loyalty.

We were on our way to one of our son’s baseball tournaments when we stopped by Shyle’s house, Myken’s best friend. She had just gotten out of the pool, and we told her to hurry up and sign our paperwork so we could make it to the game on time. No ceremony, no vows, no traditional anything. That’s exactly why this moment means so much to us. We weren’t focused on the fanfare—we were just taking care of the legal stuff so we could start our life together, like buying a house.
