For coffee and sweet treats, don’t miss local favorites like La La Land Kind Cafe, Magnolias, and Emporium Pies. Dive into the trendy Bishop Arts District for unique boutiques, colorful murals, and some of the city’s best restaurants and bars. If you’re up for shopping and dining in style, check out Highland Park Village—Dallas’s luxury outdoor mall. Hungry? Hit spots like Sixty Vines for shareable plates and wine, Hopdoddy's for flavorful burgers, or Velvet Tacos for yes, tacos. And for nightlife, head to Deep Ellum for live music, craft cocktails, and a lively arts scene.
Fort Worth
Step into the better city (in Myhien’s opinion). For the stereotypical "Fort Worth experience", walk the historic Stockyards streets, watch the daily longhorn cattle drive (11:30am & 4pm), shop for boots, hats, and souvenirs, and catch live music or a rodeo at night. If you're antsy and want to get the dancing started, Fort Worth is home to the “World’s Largest Honky Tonk,” Billy Bob’s, too! For a casual yet scenic stroll, check out Sundance Square and the West 7th District—both lively areas filled with shops, restaurants, and bars. And just around the corner, you can sit and relax by the Fort Worth Water Gardens. If you didn't grab something to eat during your Fort Worth adventures, we’d recommend getting some Tex-Mex at Joe T. Garcia’s or classic BBQ at Riscky’s.
