Leslie and John first met at a pre-freshman year community service program at DeSales and quickly became friends. From volunteering at a farm to white water rafting, there is no shortage of fun memories from the first week of knowing each other! They instantly had a connection, but didn't start dating until about two years later.

John and Leslie lost touch until late December of 2015, until the day that they ran into each other at the school library. Leslie was supposed to be tutoring an undergrad, but that person didn't show. As Leslie was packing up to leave, she spotted John walking by! This was truly fortuitous since John usually never went to the library. His printer happened to break that day and he needed to print a paper. What are the odds that they we in the same aisle of the library at the same time, when neither of them typically studied there? When the school resumed in January of 2016 they officially started dating and had dinner at Red Robin - yummm.

John proposed to Leslie on November 15th, 2019 at the Hershey Gardens; a favorite spot of theirs. Since it was late in the season, they had the whole gardens to themselves. John proposed under the main gazebo and the "sweetest place on Earth" became extra special. They can't wait to revisit the gardens soon!
