Best Man
Well those of you that don't know, Cody is my twin brother. Cody has literally been with me since day one. Next to Alyssa he's my biggest fan/supporter. Those that know Cody and I's relationship know that we both love to laugh and take jokes well past their starting point. Cody is an Ohio State Trooper and has dedicated his life to the selfless protection of people. He's an amazing guy and I couldn't be happier having him be by my side on Alyssa and I's big day.
Best Man
This handsome fella is my big brother. Jon was born 11 months earlier. The 800 characters that I have couldn't begin to even describe Jon. Jon has been an amazing older brother and now an amazing father/husband to his daughter and Wife. Jon has an excitable energy to him that I'm sure will be on full display at the wedding. Jon is a jack of all trades that has directly and indirectly taught me so much. I'm honored and privileged to have him as my Best Man.
Groomsman
Kurt is one of my oldest friends. Kurt has been there for me throughout my whole life as we met in kindergarten. He was one of the first people I needed to see when I got back from Afghanistan and I got to be the first childhood friend to meet his beautiful and amazing wife Mona. We've had numerous adventures together and those experiences have shaped me into who I am today. Kurt is a trailblazer in life and is making an amazing path for himself and his wife. Whenever I need guidance or advice he's the first I call. I'm blessed to have you as a friend and someone I consider to be a brother. I'm thankful for you and I'm glad to have you by my side. p.s. thanks for keeping those high school dance secrets safe!
Groomsman
Brian, Brian, Brian. Since the first moment I met him at Ohio State I knew, I wanted to be this guy’s friend. Brian and I lived off campus together at Ohio State and that's where my appreciation for him grew. We would talk about everything from sports to politics and our outlooks on life. Brian was THE first buddy I met after I got back from Afghanistan as we went to the Reds Playoff game, although the Reds lost, I'll appreciate that more than you'll ever know. I've always admired Brian and his calm cool demeanor. Brian has also showed me how to be an amazing Father and Husband. I'm thankful for you and I'm honored to have you by my side.
Groomsman
Travis aka Travy Daddy is another childhood friend. Travis and I met in middle school and since then we've been friends. We've had a lot of amazing experiences from almost dying in his car to our times at OSU. Travis is by all accounts is like Waldorf from the Muppets especially when he's paired with Brain Moon aka Statler. Travis has always been a thoughtful and loyal friend. Travis has a contagious laugh and quick wit. I've always admired Travis's intellect and pragmatic nature. He's an amazing person that has also taught me how to be an amazing father and husband. If I'm ever in need I know Travis will be there. Also he's very handy and can help you with your auto repairs! Just make sure he's not already working on Brian's Hyundai.
Groomsman
Matt Root aka Root. Matt is by all means the total package, intelligent, funny, caring and athletic. Matt and I have been friends since we put on football pads. I was his High School offensive center and he was my Quarterback. Matt is simply an amazing and talented guy who makes everyone around him better. Growing up this guy was good at any sport to include any trivial game, no kidding, I think Kurt Reed has never beat him at anything to this day. Matt was the first to be married in our group to our mutual friend, the lovely Anna Heberling, he set the bar high. Matt has shown amazing humility and grace his whole life and he too has shown me what being a Husband and Father looks like. Root you're truly one of a kind and I need you to QB me through this day.
Groomsman
Brad Bell, the blue eyed devil. Brad and I met in the Military and our first interaction was after a physical fitness test. I went up to Brad and asked how he did, he responded, "I was kind of slow, I hit my two mile in 11:30"! This was the beginning of our friendship. Brad like Matt Root is a natural athlete and a very hard worker. Brad and I deployed twice together and on this last Army deployment we were roommates. Brad is like my older brother. He has a vivacious and charismatic personality. Brad has had a profound impact on me and provided guidance and wisdom in all aspects of my life. Brad like the others is an amazing husband and father and has taught and developed me more than he'll ever know. Brad I'm honored and privileged to have you with me on this day.
