Things To Do

Cairo is a city unlike any other — ancient and electric, chaotic and captivating all at once. Whether you have a day or a week to explore, we've put together a list of suggestions to help you make the most of your time here. From world wonders to local markets, there's something for everyone.
Pyramids of Giza

Pyramids of Giza

Al Haram, Nazlet El-Semman, Giza, Egypt

The only surviving wonder of the ancient world — a must-see. Go early to beat the heat and crowds. Tickets can be purchased on site or in advance online. General admission is approximately 700 EGP (~$13 USD) per adult. Entry inside the Great Pyramid costs an additional 400 EGP (~$7 USD) with limited daily tickets. Note: Be mindful of persistent vendors and hagglers around the site offering camel rides, photos, and other services. Prices are often inflated for tourists — agree on any price before committing, and don't feel pressured to engage.

The Grand Egyptian Museum
