There are events most evenings, but in the mornings, Red Rocks is open for anyone who wants to walk around and explore. There's a fun short loop that you can hike that takes you through the rocks, or you can head to the amphitheatre and take in the sights.
You can't beat the views and hiking here. It's a bit of a drive, so we recommend making a day out of it. If you're not up for a hike, there's a scenic route you can take by car to see the park. Careful with the elevation!
Take a walk around Sloan's Lake Park and then head to Edgewater Public Market for food and drinks. Check out their rooftop seating!

Golden is a fun little town close to the foothills with good beer, cute shops, and a trail where you can walk along the river.
