Question

What's the parking situation?

Answer

The Barn at Raccoon Creek has ample parking and if you have a little too much fun, you can leave your car at the venue overnight and catch an Uber/Lyft home.

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

We suggest semi-formal attire. Dresses of any length, jumpsuits, florals and pastels, casual suits, sport coats, ties or no ties -- this is all perfect for our wedding. The ceremony and part of the reception space will be on the grass lawn, so please consider that when selecting your shoes for the day.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

If you're able to do so, we would recommend renting a car. We think it's a must-have if you're extending your trip before/after the wedding, because exploring the mountains is one of the best parts of staying in Denver. That said, you can get by without a rental car, especially if your lodgning is centrally located. It should not be any trouble to take a Lyft/Uber to our wedding venue. Our rehearsal picnic is in the foothills (about 25 min from downtown Denver), so it'll be a little pricey, but you should be able to get there via Lyft/Uber too.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Question

Are kids invited to the ceremony?

Answer

If we've included your kiddos on the invitation, then they are welcome to attend for all or part of the night. We are also in complete support if you want to hire a babysitter so you can leave the kids at home and let loose for the night -- no judgment from us either way!

Question

Is the altitude in Denver actually a big deal?

Answer

It depends, but if you're coming from sea level, we recommend taking it easy for at least the first day you're here. If you feel the effects of the elevation, the best thing you can do is stay hydrated and save any big hikes or high-altitude activities for the end of your trip.

Question

What time does the ceremony start?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 6pm. Please plan on arriving at the venue sometime between 5:30-5:50pm.
