How soon should we book a hotel room?

Answer

January is the middle of the snow bird and winter vacation season, therefore, we encourage you to book your accommodations early. We have been able to coordinate with the Atlantic Bay Resort, Ocean Pointe Suites, and Courtyard Key Largo about additional rooming. There are other hotels and rooming options available in the Upper Keys, but keep in mind there is no additional onsite parking and you will need to either meet at a shuttle pick up location or obtain a taxi/Uber/Lyft ride to the wedding venue. Will there be parking available on site?

Answer

There will be no additional parking on site for those who are not staying at the Coconut Palm Inn. A shuttle service will be provided from the Atlantic Bay Resort and possibly Ocean Pointe Suites. There are also several taxi services in the area. Uber/Lyft is available but rides can be unreliable in the area. Shuttle 1: 3:30 PM - Shuttle 1 arrives at Courtyard Marriot 3:40 PM- Shuttle 1 arrives at Keys House 3:50 PM Shuttle 1 arrives at Dove Creek Shuttle 2: 3:45 PM - Shuttle 2 arrives at Ocean Pointe Suites 3:55 PM - Shuttle 2 arrives at Atlantic Bay There will be return shuttles at the end of the event

Do we have to book a hotel?

Tavernier is about a 1.5 to 2 hour drive from Miami and Fort Lauderdale (without traffic). While we'd love for you to celebrate with us throughout the weekend; but, we understand if you prefer to skip the hotel rooms and make the drive. Please keep in mind there is no additional onsite parking at the venue and you will need to either meet at a shuttle pick up location or obtain a taxi/Uber/Lyft ride to the wedding venue

What is the closest airport to Tavernier?

Answer

Miami (MIA), Fort Lauderdale (FLL) airports are about an hour-and-a-half drive from Tavernier. Key West (EYW) airport is about a two hour drive from Tavernier.

Only children of family members are invited to the event, but please note there will be no babysitting services provided

Beach casual. Please note the ceremony and reception will be on sand when choosing your footwear

Answer

The weather in Tavernier is pleasantly warm and slightly windy, with average highs of 74°F and lows of 69°F in January. You may want to bring a sweater as the nights can get a little cooler
