Michael and Lauren met on Bumble in July 2022. They decided to go indoor climbing for their first date, a decision Michael immediately regretted as he could not hear anything Lauren was saying. After several hours of climbing they went out for pizza and beer and the rest is history. On June 22, 2024, Michael proposed to Lauren in their camper after a long night of celebrating Lauren's graduation from residency. As the night was winding down and they were about to go to sleep Michael asked Lauren if she would marry him. Lauren initially thought he was messing with her, as he always does, until she rolled over and saw he was serious. She said yes! Michael and Lauren have enjoyed exploring the country together, hiking, mountain biking, and camping. They even bought a camper so they can continue to explore the country one road trip at a time.
