Best Man
David is Daniel’s older brother. They grew up together in Kentucky where David masterminded imaginary games throughout their childhood, leading to endless entertainment at the family restaurant. They also went to undergrad together at Boston University and subsequently graduate school at Georgetown. Daniel not-so-stealthily copied many of David’s life milestones, as David has always been a role model and an unofficial life coach throughout Daniel’s life.
Officiant
Nellie first walked into Daniel and Amelia's lives through the front door of their U Street row home, where they immediately knew she'd be the perfect roommate. Their friendship grew over the years as they navigated the excitement of their twenties, honed their party planning abilities, and fought the patriarchy. Their home welcomed many wonderful roommates, numerous themed parties, and out-of-town guests (including a live band once!).
Best Man
James is Daniel’s childhood friend. They grew up together in Northern Virginia where they competed fiercely in Madden and Winning Eleven video games and made a lethal quarterback-wide receiver combo in backyard football. They also shared many adventures backpacking in Southeast Asia and on the ski slopes, and in more recent times, eating their way through NYC, as James is the consummate foodie tour guide and premier Chinatown food connoisseur.

Tiernan and Amelia grew up dancing ballet together in Kansas. They bonded in many Friday night rehearsals and tough pointe classes. Now they get to be neighbors together in a cute neighborhood in DC.

Lizzy and Amelia lived in the same house at Smith College. They met the first week they moved in and have been friends ever since. They decided to take Italian class their first semester together, and Amelia remembers being the most disruptive student she'd ever been because she couldn't stop laughing with Lizzy. They loved creating silly videos together, discussing what it was like to not be from the East Coast, acting out historic people, and generally being goofy.

Mike is Daniel’s college friend. They were roommates at Boston University, where they lived together for two years and partook in several boisterous spring break adventures in Panama City Beach and Miami. Philip is Daniel’s DC friend. Philip is married to Amelia’s close friend and bridesmaid Tiernan. Daniel and Philip share the mutual party habit of crowding around the speaker and singing every lyric to bangers they request on the Alexa as a nightcap ritual. Philip and Daniel also recently took a trip to France together, where it was discovered that Philip is both a sparkling water aficionado and collarless shirt fashionista.
Bridesmaid
Emily and Amelia were roommates for a year in Semarang, Indonesia after college. They went on many adventures together, including once where they tried to find a waterfall 3 hours away only to find out it had dried up and was not in season. "Don't go chasing waterfalls" unless it's with Emily - then it's still a grand time. Throughout the year, they conversed in their secret language (Italian), fought off flying cockroaches, hosted an American Thanksgiving using a rice cooker for their students and friends, got lost on a volcano, and sang lots of karaoke. They were also once bridesmaids together in an Indonesian wedding where they didn't know anyone!
Groomsman
Chase is Daniel’s DC friend. They were roommates at the U Street row home where Amelia and Daniel first met. Bridesmaid
Amelia and Amelia met in a bar in DC in 2016 and instantly decided to be friends purely because they were so excited they had the same name. They actually followed through on that promise and got coffee together a few days later and have been best friends ever since. Amelia loves yoga, the moon, and will never miss a chance to catch a sunset. The Amelias always have a great time together and love a good dance party.
Groomsman
Prem is Daniel’s grad school friend. They met at Georgetown University, where they took several ski trips together and traveled for a grad school trip to Germany, Czech Republic, and Hungary. Bridesmaid
Emily and Amelia were roommates in grad school at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. They met during the early days of the pandemic and bonded over long walks in the park with Emily's dog Nyla, acting out business school case studies using interpretive dance, and always finding an excuse to treat themselves to lattes. Emily is always ready to support any goofy video Amelia wants to create and is also a party co-host extraordinaire.
Mother of the Groom
Suk Ei is Daniel’s mother. She graciously and lovingly took on the arduous task of raising what can only be described as a rambunctious Daniel throughout his childhood and adolescence in Kentucky and Northern Virginia. She has continued to support Daniel as a loving source of strength and support into his adulthood, expressed largely through quality time and copious amounts of Tupperware-filled home cooked Korean meals.
Aunt of the Bride
Aunt Susan is Amelia's dad's sister, an expert skier, a great tennis player, and a wonderful host. Growing up, Amelia remembers going on family ski trips and always being excited when Aunt Susan would show up to join the fun. When Amelia first moved to DC, she lived with Aunt Susan in Arlington while she figured out what she wanted to do. Amelia quickly fell in love with the area (and soon after, with Daniel!), and has had a great time with Aunt Susan going to happy hours, dinners, Christmas celebrations, birthday celebrations, farmers markets, and tennis matches over the years.

Over the years, Lynda has befriended many of Amelia and Daniel's friends, hosted brunches, helped them move, given career advice, and joined bachelorette parties.
Ring Bearer
Caleb is Amelia and Daniel’s nephew. He joyously came into this world in November 2021 and has been charming everyone in his path ever since. Caleb continues to amaze with his ever-growing vocabulary, his propensity to eat adult-sized meals, and his spirited hugs.

Teha was neighbors with Amelia and Daniel on U Street in DC from 2015-2017. Amelia and Teha had a lovely time hosting dinner parties, baking cakes, and introducing Teha to “American” things.
