Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Amelia Murphy and Daniel Yi
National Portrait Gallery

National Portrait Gallery

8th St NW & G St NW, Washington, DC 20001

This is one of our favorite museums in DC! You can see the portraits of all the presidents or just sit in the large covered courtyard and enjoy something from the cafe. Like most museums in DC, it is free.

14th Street Northwest

14th Street Northwest

14th Street Northwest, Washington, DC

14th Street is just a block away from the Darcy Hotel and a great place to take a walk. Head north and you'll go past lots of fun restaurants, bars, and shopping. Some of our favorite spots include Barcelona (Spanish tapas wine bar), Le Diplomate (classic French restaurant), Lupo Verde (Italian restaurant), Vin Sur Vingt (wine bar), and Churchkey (beer).

Vue Rooftop

Vue Rooftop

515 15th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20004

If you want a classic view of DC plus (pricy) cocktails, this hotel rooftop is your spot! You can see the Washington Monument and the White House from your cocktail table.

National Mall

National Mall

Washington, DC

The National Mall is huge and full of beautiful monuments and museums. Wear comfy walking shoes and go explore! You can check out the Lincoln Memorial on one end (Daniel's favorite president) and the Capitol building all the way on the other end. You may even catch a glimpse of our wedding venue...

Tatte Bakery & Cafe | Dupont Circle

Tatte Bakery & Cafe | Dupont Circle

1301 Connecticut Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20036

In the mood for some cute coffee, pastries, or shakshuka? Check out any Tatte cafe (there are now about seven in DC!) for a delicious treat. Amelia and Daniel have done a lot of their wedding planning at Tattes across DC! (The honey halva house latte is delicious!)
