This beautiful building was the first Public Library in the city, and was home to thousands of books that were gifted to the city by England following the Great Chicago Fire. Today, it is home to artwork by local artists and 2 Tiffany Stained glass domes.
No trip to Chicago is complete without a trip to Millennium Park to see the Lurie Gardens, Pritzker Pavilion, and of course Cloud Gate (commonly referred to as the Bean). This sculpture by Indian-born British artist Sir Anish Kapoor is meant to show the seamless transition between earth and sky, and is made up of 168 massive steel plates.
Chicago has many world class museums that are worth a visit, including the Chicago History Museum (our first date!), the Field, Museum, The Art Institute, and the Museum of Science and Industry.
Chicago is full of great craft breweries, many of which are found in Andrew and Hilary's neighborhood. These include Revolution Brewery, Maplewood Brewery, and Hopewell Brewery.
