A Philadelphia landmark for foodies. Our favs? DiNics for a broccoli rabe and roast pork sandwich and Saami Somi for a Georgian bread boat.
Where to start?? This is one of our favorite parts of the city. Some highlights include: Anthony’s for espresso, Isgro’s for sfogliatella, DiBruno’s for meat and cheese and Fante’s for all your favorite cooking accessories. Don’t forget to check out DiBruno’s bottle shop! If you’re looking for dinner, Fiorella’s is a must for an Italian meal to remember.
Cute, Instagram-worthy art installation!
Medical Oddities and a garden full of poisonous plants, what more could you want?
Great brunch and late night cocktails right up the street from the German Society.
The collection of Albert Barnes includes pivotal works in the impressionist, post-impressionist and modern art world, paired alongside a rotating contemporary gallery which often highlights social justice issues. Katey’s favorite part? When they moved the collection they granted Barnes’ post-mortem wishes and kept the collection identical to how it was originally installed. Think more “maximalist home decor” than art museum. Don’t talk to Ryan about the Modigliani paintings, though. He thinks they’re creepy.
