Blake Irons

Best Man

Blake is Zack's younger brother who is a Senior at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY Blake will graduate 2020 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Blake played soccer growing up in Pagosa Springs and was part of the team that made it to the quarter finals in state competition. A member of a Destination Imagination team that competed at Globals 5 years in a row and finished 10th their freshmen year. Blake and Zack will always be there for each other.

Christopher Brown

Christopher and Zack have been best buddies since Elementary school and members of the Special Olympic Team Pagosa. Christopher is an avid Bronco's fan, PBR fan, and participates with great enthusiasm in all events with Pagosa Springs Special Olympics: Skiing, Softball, Bowling, Swimming, and Basketball. Christopher is an avid fan of the Pagosa Pirates and was given an opportunity in High School to run a touchdown for a game at home for everyone to see. Christopher is working hard on promoting the building of Aspen House in Pagosa Springs so he can live independently in a monitored and safe environment.

CJ Banks

CJ graduated with a certification in Vet Assisting and Office Skills from ENMU Roswell. CJ is from Cottonwood, AZ, but has made his home in Roswell after graduation. CJ is a caregiver for adults with disabilities and a little league coach for athletes with special needs. He participates as a Unified Partner with Special Olympics. CJ also works at Sippy and Opals as a baker and ice cream maker in Roswell, NM.

James Mason

James, a roommate of Zack’s at ENMU-R found his passion in early education. James continues to earn degrees and most recently obtained an Associates Degree in Early Education. He is a classroom teacher at head start in Roswell, NM. James is also a drummer at Church on the Move, and makes time to participate in Special Olympics as a Unified Partner. James loves fostering children and looks forward to adopting someday.

Shane Butler

Groomsman

Zack’s first cousin, Shane, married in 2017 and with his wife Grace, they welcomed Beckley Edward in March of 2019. Shane is the clinical coordinator of a 34 bed unit at Lewis-Gale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia. This floor, known as 5- West, is a pulmonary/renal floor, Shane's specialty is stroke and cardiac patients. Shane loves to have fun and play sports and he is an owner/stockholder of the Green Bay Packers.

Haley Winn Murphy

Matron of Honor

Haley and Meredith are partners-in-crime, keepers of secrets, and still insist on sleeping together every Christmas Eve so they can hear Santa’s bells outside the bedroom window. Haley is married to Joshua Heard, and is an Assistant District Attorney in the Special Victims Unit, where she focuses primarily on felony child prosecution.

Jenna is a Sophomore and Honor student at Goddard High School and lives in Roswell, New Mexico.
