FAQs

Question

Where can I stay if I am located out of town?

Answer

Our wedding is located in the Grand Hall attached to the Priory Hotel. This is a boutique hotel with limited availabilty so it is first come first serve. The bridal party has been booked for two nights. Please visit the travel tab for a detailed outline of our other hotel room block options!

Question

Can my children attend the wedding?

Answer

We love your little ones and are so happy to have them as part of our family, but we respectfully ask that no children under the age of 13 at both the ceremony and the reception, with exception to our ring bearer and flower girl. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our goal is to keep our very special occasion as intimate as possible, therefore we are choosing to celebrate with only our closest family and friends. That said, we are only able to accommodate those names who are listed on the invitation and plus-ones are by invite only. Thank you for respecting our wishes!

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

There will be plenty of photo opportunities throughout the evening during cocktail hour and the reception, therefore we politely ask for our ceremony to be unplugged (i.e. no cell phones or personal cameras). We have an extremely talented photographer duo and videographer to capture these moments and would be happy to share those photos and videos once available!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, we will provide an open bar for our guests during cocktail hour and the reception. However, guests will not be permitted to do shots, as per venue policy. This also means that drinks will not be able to be served neat or on the rocks (i.e. they must have a mixer).

Question

When should I arrive for the wedding ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests arrive 15–30 minutes before the ceremony begins to allow time to park (or valet per venue), find your seat, and settle in. The ceremony will start promptly at 4:00pm, so arriving early will ensure you don’t miss a moment!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held indoors in the Grand Hall. Cocktail hour following the ceremony will be outdoors on the patio. While everyone is outside enjoying cocktail hour, the Grand Hall will be transformed into our party room for the night! Please dress accordingly and keep an eye on the weather for the short time we are outdoors! Don't worry, air conditioning will be on inside!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding will be formal-cocktail attire. We kindly ask guests to dress stylishly and respectfully—think suits, dress shirts, cocktail dresses, longer dresses or dressy separates. Since the ceremony will take place in a historic german church, we encourage elegant, classy pieces. Please, no jeans/denim, casual wear, or sneakers, as well as white, ivory or cream dresses. We appreciate your help in honoring the setting and the occasion!
