Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

We are recommending that folks arrive 15-20 minutes ahead of the ceremony to allow for time to get from the parking area to seating. If you take the last school bus shuttle from the Hampton Inn you should expect to arrive to the venue by 3:25PM. Guests should plan to be in their seats by 3:45PM EST.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We are hoping for some beautiful June weather and expect to be outside for the ceremony and reception. Dinner and dancing will be inside the barn! If it rains, we will likely shift the ceremony and reception to be inside the barn as well.

What type of surfaces will I be walking on?

Answer

Grass for the ceremony, gravel for the cocktail hour and wood barn floor for dinner and dancing!

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

If you choose to drive the address is Whitney Farm Estate: 556 E Oxford Rd, Oxford ME 04270. There will also be a school bus shuttle from the Hampton Inn hotel 151 Main St, Oxford, ME 04270. The bus will make 2 trips from the Hampton Inn hotel to venue and 2 trips to return from venue to the Hampton Inn hotel. The first trip will leave at 2:30pm and the second will leave the hotel at 3:10pm. For the return trips, the bus shuttle will leave from the venue back to the Hampton Inn at 9:40pm and 10:30pm.

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes there is parking on-site for about 80 cars. The parking can be found in front of the venue in a lot to the right when you face the house.

Are children welcome to join the wedding event?

Answer

While we adore your little ones, please note that our wedding ceremony and reception will be adults only.

May I bring a plus one?

Answer

We can only accommodate those listed on the invitation due to limited space.

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Please note this in the RSVP of the wedding invite so that we are aware of any allergies or dietary restrictions.

What should I wear?

Answer

We are going for a dressy casual look where full formal wear isn’t needed, but a polished look (shirt + tie + nice trousers or a sun dress) would be the desired look.
