Mother of the Bride
Isa and I go wayyyy back. As I scrolled through my phone looking for my earliest pictures of Isa and Jonathan, I found countless memories of "JM" adventuring with us through the past 7+ years. The first one (well, I should say the first one approved by Isa) was Jonathan on our doorstep holding a bouquet of roses for their first Homecoming dance. The nervousness was not from him, but from me; peering around the corner to catch a glimpse at this handsome young man (braces and all), who had come to pick up my only daughter. Over the years, I have seen them both grow up - together - with our families. From dances and Raider meets, to graduations and flourishing independently; from Miami and new jobs, to career advancement and medical school in Gainesville; in times of joy and celebration to moments of grief and loss, I have watched their love grow as they have grown, and couldn’t be more proud and inspired by my daughter and soon to be son-in-law’s love for each other. Jacob, Ben and I - joined by Mike, Brooks and Jack - and our Sottile famiglia, welcome Jonathan, Alex, Mari, Christian and Nikki - and the Muñoz familia, to ours. I’m honored to welcome everyone to Thornewood on 11 June to celebrate this incredible moment for Isa and JM.
Escort to Mother of the Bride
I am the proud Royal Consort to the Mother of the Bride. My first introduction to Jonathan and Isabella was an intrepid two-week boat charter through the San Juan Islands. On our Gilligan's Island Adventure: Jonathan was the Professor... He was our second mate, quickly mastering the complex electronic systems. Illustrating the intellect, attention to detail, and hard work, that that will serve him well as a master surgeon. Isabella played to role of both Ginger and Mary Ann... The refined Bourgeois of Ginger with style and refinement, and Mary Ann’s intellect. The first morning she was writing on her laptop, feverishly slapping the keyboard with her long fingernails so fast and hard, I though she was joking. She was actually writing a book, her fingers somehow able to keep up with her lightening fast thoughts. Quite the pair; they will make a powerful team.
Mother of the Groom
My husband and I got married when we were very young and decided to start our family shortly after. We soon after had Jonathan, our first child, and son. Jonathan was the best baby and throughout his life, he has continued to always amaze us and be an incredible son and big brother to his siblings. When Jonathan was in his last year of High School, he asked if he could have a young girl over for the family to meet. We of course said yes, and he wasted no time. The next day, Isa was joining us for breakfast at IHOP. Isa continued coming over and this is how she found her love for my picadillo (Cuban style ground beef), which she has mastered on her own now. We soon became party-of-six and Isa began joining us on family vacations and get-togethers. Jonathan and Isa went on to college and their love for each other continued to grow stronger. In their young life together, they have experienced their highs and lows and have been each other’s rock and support. Seven years later, we couldn’t be prouder of these two amazing young kids that have decided to start their own adventures and family. We are very fortunate that our family continues to grow as the Muñoz and Sottile-Carrasco families come together.

Originally I was Jonathan’s friend from middle school but when Isa came into the picture we naturally hit it off. I slid into Isa’s DM’s and asked where her pizza that she posted was from. We bonded over food and the rest is history. From the start, we were very open with each other and exchanged life stories. This was the start to creating many more amazing memories together. I could not be any happier for Isa and Jonathan to take this next step as a couple. Both of them are caring, fun, and full of personality. They truly balance each other out so well and are perfect for one another. I am so excited to see them embark on this new journey. We are all so grateful to be such a big part of their special day. Wishing them nothing but the best in their marriage!

My brother was 12 years old when I was born. During his high school years, I was very young, as I began to grow up, I could see who my brother was. He was and still is a kind, smart, and dedicated individual. He has always been such a great role model, and I have always and still look up to him as my older brother. I could not be any happier for him than I am right now. When I was 6, almost 7 years old I met Isa, so I don’t remember when I first met her. However, I do remember all the memories that we have had throughout the years. I specifically remember when she would take me to the movies, and afterwards we would go get ice cream. I always had so much fun on those days. I never told her this, but as much as I loved the movie and ice cream, my favorite part were the conversations that we would have on the drive there and back. Isa has always treated me like a little sister, and she has been a kind, funny, and strong woman. I am so happy that I get to call her my sister-in-law. I wish them both a lifetime of happiness.

I really think one of my favorite parts of high school was meeting Isa for the first time. Meeting through the JROTC program my freshman year, it felt almost as if I had known her for years. Her beautiful, and kind caring nature was so warm and welcoming to me that something told me we would be friends for a long time. Acting as the captain of our JROTC Raider fitness team, she made me feel like someone had my back in a way where we were all so loved and cared for. It was almost as if I had another amazing older sister. Even after, we remained friends and I actually met Jonathan through her. Their unconditional love they had for one another at such a young age was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen. After getting to know Jonathan, I could see the care and absolute love and devotion he would give to Isabella. I knew right then in there that God intended for them to be together. Funnily enough, I actually met my current boyfriend who just so happens to be Jonathan’s brother Christian, in JROTC as well, through the wonderful match making skills of Isa! We have been together ever since and it’s amazing to have gotten to know them as family and to be a part of their story in so many ways. Jonathan and Isa, I love you both with all my heart and I wish you the greatest happiness. God bless you, and congratulations!

This picture is the very first photo I ever took with Isa and the first time I actually got to meet her in person since I had started dating Jay and I can tell you I was beyond nervous because I had heard nothing but amazing things about her and knew I had to meet very high standards! I can say after being with her for an hour, she was the most caring, loveably, welcoming, and comforting person I think I’ve ever met. She made me feel like I was already apart of the family and I knew instantly that she was going to be one of the people I look up to the most because of how poise and confident she is! I honestly can’t imagine anyone else who could top how truly amazing she is, inside and out. Love you beyond words Isa and I’m so grateful to be a part of your life!

Isa has been my soul sister for a few years now. We instantly hit it off and she’s been a pillar in my life ever since. I think our sisterhood really began when we decided to go on a long drive to South Beach for Insomnia Cookies and we sat on the beach and talked about literally everything we’ve ever felt. There’s never any shallow conversation with Isa. That’s when I knew I had a forever friend. I’m so honored and overjoyed that I get to be part of this monumental moment in Jonathan and Isa’s lives. God knows that we’ve all been waiting for this wedding for some time now. No one could possibly complement Isa and Jonathan the way that they complement each other. There is no better pairing. Wishing my friends, the bride and groom, continued happiness and all the love in the world.

Best Man
My brother Jonathan and I are only one year and nine months apart; it’s safe to say we went through almost every phase of our childhood side by side. As kids, we did everything together. From watching movies, playing video games, to battling it out to the death over who got the last cookie. As we progressed into the adolescence, we began to understand how different we were. Jonathan liked to read books, and I liked to burn them; Jonathan loved to be indoors, I loved to be outdoors; Jonathan is an introvert, & I am an extrovert. From our personalities to our physical features, Jonathan & I are opposite; however, there’s something that’ll always stay the same between us, we’ll always be brothers. Isa came into my life during freshman year of High School. I asked her for some eye-contact solution; being the generous & kind-hearted person she is, she gave me some. Right away, I noticed Isa was someone who was organized, studious, & always prepared. I was a stranger to Isa, yet she helped me. Isa in my life has always been someone I can count on for anything. From giving advice, offering rides to school, to writing my essays, and so much more. Throughout the years, she’s always been there when you need her. I am beyond blessed that Jonathan chose Isa as a lifelong partner. Their personalities match in countless ways, headstrong, generous, intellect, and loyalty. I am happy and excited to see my big family grow even larger with the addition of the Carrasco's. Love you both always.

I would just like to start off saying I'm luckier than you all. For my 19 years of life, I had one of the best women in my life, who is undoubtably the greatest sister, yet she's so much more. She is my best friend. Of course all you know about her proficiency in writing and her elite level of intellect, but the Isa I know is the "French Fry Monster," "Grilled Cheese Connoisseur," & "Super Mario Bros Champion" (only if she plays Mario ). This now woman, was everything I could have ever asked for. She guided me through the most intricate and difficult moments of my life with such ease, and comforted me. One of the few heartbreaks in my life was when I moved to Seattle, she went to Miami, and I had lost her for that brief period of time. No more late night ramen while watching Transformers or bickering about why Grey’s anatomy is a bad show. She was truly one of the most important figures in my life. A year later, because of her, we were able to be together again for the remainder of my high school. Every moment with her came with a smile, and every tear I shed was met with comfort by her compassionate nature & wise jokes. She’s a one-of-a-kind and the joy she had given me is now being returned. Jonathan is an exemplary man and makes her smile. She now has the best friend that I saw in her, and I couldn’t be more rejoiced for their future together. She is my big sister, my best friend, and the most powerful woman in mind, spirit, and body that I know. I love you Ya-Ya.

I first met Jonathan during orientation at medical school. I remember I was looking for a group of friends to sit with during class and was invited by our current friends to join the group during a Foundation of Medicine class. Jonathan was very kind and welcoming. Little did I know that after class he had told the group that he “provided sufficient manliness” to the rest of the group of all girls, and the addition of another guy was not necessary. Slowly, we got to know each other better and bonded during a volunteer shift at the ED where we found out that we shared similar experiences working in ER's before medical school. Eventually Jonathan asked me to be his lab partner and even started saving me seats during class. In the time that I have known him, Jonathan has shown me how great of a friend he is and I am very lucky to have the honor to be his groomsman. I’m very happy for Jonathan and Isa and their future together. I wish the happy couple all the best.

I vividly remember seeing a moving truck down the street from my house in elementary school and wondering who would be moving into that house. Little did I know that a pretty awesome kid moved in, and we would be lifelong friends. Jonathan and I quickly became your stereotypical friends playing on our block with our bikes and Ripsticks for hours, and made some amazing memories living just a few houses away from each other. We both ended up following similar paths, going through the same middle and high school (intimately pictured above), and ultimately both ended up at UF for medical school. It has been such an amazing experience being Jonathan’s friend all these years. Isa is a perfect match for Jonathan, and I am so honored that I can be with them on their big day! Wishing you both lots of love on your amazing journey ahead of you!”
