We love visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium—it’s one of our favorite weekend activities and a place we always try to bring our out-of-town guests. It’s widely considered one of the best aquariums in the world, and if you have a free day to check it out, you definitely won’t regret it! While you’re there, Cannery Row is a fun area to explore with shops, restaurants, and ocean views. If you’re up for a walk, you can even continue along the coast to Lovers Point Park.
Roy's is one of our favorite happy hour sunset spots! We actually came here right after getting engaged to sit by the outdoor fire pit and watch the sunset. And the best part—every evening someone goes out onto the golf course to play the bagpipes! Between the great drinks, delicious food, and incredible ocean views, it’s a pretty unforgettable place to spend an evening.
Mission Ranch Restaurant is an amazing spot for dinner, offering beautiful ocean views along with a unique view of their famous grazing sheep herd in the pasture below. It’s a quintessential Carmel-by-the-Sea experience—great food, cozy atmosphere, and a sunset setting that’s hard to beat.
If you have time to drive it, you won’t regret it! 17-Mile Drive is an easy and beautiful way to experience the iconic coastline of Pebble Beach, with incredible ocean views, famous golf courses, and plenty of scenic pull-offs along the way. It’s one of the best ways to see the area and take in the classic Central Coast scenery.
We love strolling around Carmel-by-the-Sea—it truly feels like a little fairytale beach town. From the charming shops and great restaurants to the iconic storybook “hobbit-style” cottages tucked throughout town, there’s something magical around every corner.
The cutest little village with shops and restaurants. Cole and I live only 5 mins from here:)
Our favorite brewery right around the corner from us.
One of our favorite hiking spots. Be sure to look out for banana slugs!
