There will be a festival all weekend in Downtown Baton Rouge celebrating Louisiana's most beloved dish, Read Beans & Rice.
Visit the Capital Park Museum to learn a bit more about Louisiana's history, culture and industries!
If you are looking to visit a casino while you are in town we recommend L'Auberge Casino! While it may be further than some of the casinos downtown, it offers more amenities like restaurants, bars, a pool, as well as casino games.
Enjoy a dinner or lunch at our favorite restaurant in Downtown Baton Rouge! Try the Cachapas or the Grilled Fresh Catch!
For stunning sunset views of the Mississippi River visit Tsunami Sushi for a drink and/or some sushi! We love the Black & Gold and the Kabuki Roll and the Haiku for their take on a margarita!
Visit the Vintage for a morning coffee or an afternoon cocktail!
Try our favorite restaurant in Baton Rouge! Just a short drive from downtown is what I believe to be one of Baton Rouge's best, try anything on the rotating menu and the fried green beans!
For some good ole' Louisiana Seafood we recommend Phil's Oyster Bar (Featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives!). You really cant go wrong here but our favorites are the charbroiled oysters, the crawfish cheesecake, and of course a shrimp poboy (honorable mention for the roast beef poboy).
