we met at a freshman dorm at pitt johnstown after a dance ensemble show when he came to visit his sister but didn’t think much of it. a few facebook messages later, we started texting non-stop 24/7, growing closer and closer. after two years, we both attended classes together at UPJ for a semester. unfortunately, we fell out of touch and didn’t really stay friends, but after graduation, ended up hanging out and at that point we became inseparable.
while there was suspicion (read: begging) for a ring for quite some time, it was definitely expected by the end of the year. my birthday was in 3 days so i was hoping that it would happen then. i came home from a super busy day at work. i expected to come in to crazy dogs and chaos, but instead, the living room was covered in rose petals where michael asked me to marry him and of course i said YES! we can't wait to finally celebrate this day with you!
while we postponed our big wedding from february to september, we just couldnt let go of our original wedding date. after 2020 took so much from us, we wanted to celebrate our original day somehow, so we planned a dinner for our parents, siblings, and bridal party. about two weeks before the date, we decided to surprise everyone with a ceremony. with only a few days left, we rushed to find someone to perform our ceremony and hoped a marriage license would come in time. about 5 days before, everything came together & it was beautiful. while we obviously wanted everyone to be there, it was the perfect intimate day. but with all of that, we cannot wait to throw a huge reception and celebrate with all of our loved ones for a memorable night!
