Chestnut Hill Hotel

This little boutique hotel is so sweet and right around the corner from the Arboretum. We will be staying there July 22nd-25th and getting ready there day-of with the wedding party. The venue and hotel are within city limits, but it's not centre city Philadelphia. This hotel is on the main street of Germantown Ave, which is sooo charming with loads of places to eat and things to do. If you stay here or close-by, you won't need a car to enjoy the weekend.

Airbnb

There are options locally on Airbnb for either houses or apartments. If you guys want us to help organize a group of you to rent a larger place, we can do that! But we suggest you stay by the main street of Germantown Ave so that you have walking access to restaurants and cafes. Then we can all meet up easily and less need for a rented car. Otherwise, we suggest the Holiday Inn in Fort Washington, which is an 11 minute drive to the venue!

Flight

Flights

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), Newark, or JFK are the closest airports. PHL is definitely the closest out of the three, but you'll have to gauge what is best for you. Leaving Newark you will have less traffic than JFK, and is the airport we usually use. If you would be interested in sharing a shuttle with others from one of these airports, please let us know. We'll gauge what everyone wants to do!

Travel Note

New York City

Although our wedding is within Philadelphia city limits, we definitely suggest visiting NYC if you've never been to the US before! You can choose to have a long layover in NYC and spend an extra day there if you are flying into Philly, otherwise a train or rented car to and from NYC is very doable (about 2 hours one way). If you need suggestions, just shoot us a message!

Train

Chestnut Hill West or East Line

It is possible to use public transportation all the way to the hotel/nearby Airbnb. From centre-city Philadelphia: From 30th Street station or Suburban station, take the Chestnut Hill West OR East Line to Chestnut Hill West station OR to Gravers station. From Chestnut Hill West station, walk down Germantown Ave past Starbucks and you'll find the hotel on your left. From Gravers station, walk down East Gravers Lane and turn left onto Germantown Ave. Both walking distances are 5 minutes. From PHL: Take the Airport Line to Suburban Station, where you'll change to the Chestnut Hill West OR East Line. Then follow above instructions from Philly. From NYC: From Pennsylvania Station in Manhattan you take Amtrak to 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. That takes approximately 1 hour depending on the number of stops. Then follow above instructions from Philly.
