Saturday: Explore Providence WaterFire

Saturday: Explore Providence WaterFire

4 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02903
, (401) 273-1155

Explore Providence, the Creative Capital, before heading to Providence WaterFire to see Reid and Casey perform with fire on boat, surrounded by floating fire pits! It's a mesmerizing event! We recommend: Thayer Street for food, shopping, art and culture. Check out Brown University and RISD in the area. Wickenden Street for food, vintage shops, and site seeing. Walk the pedestrian bridge from the Fox Point Neighborhood to India Point Park, and take in the Providence waterfront. Federal Hill is known for it's Italian restaurants and worldly cuisines. Providence Children's Museum (if you have little ones) is always a blast. At night, explore Providence WaterFire in the heart of the city, across from the Providence Mall. Watch Reid and Casey spin fire on a boat, as part of the lighting ceremony of the anchored floating fire pits that line the Providence River, and watch the romantic gondolas that ride by. Walk along the river for more live entertainment, food, and drink.

Beaches in Rhode Island

Lakes: Gov. Notte Park! Come back to Gov. Notte Park (where our wedding is held) and enjoy the sandy "beach" and freshwater swimming at the lake where lifeguards are on duty. See the pretty waterfall under the bridge, rent paddleboats, walk nature trails, play at the playground, tennis courts, baseball field, etc. Lincoln Woods State Park 2 Manchester Print Works Road, Lincoln, RI (Close to Bally's Hotel and Gov. Notte Park!) Enjoy fresh water swimming at a beautiful lake, boating, nature trails, and horseback riding! Lifeguards on duty. Ocean Beaches: Narraganset Beach (then take the ferry to visit Block Island for more beautiful beaches, dining, and unique shops!) Newport Beach (dine out, shop, and why not tour the Newport Mansions while you're there).
