Question

I just got my save the date! I'm from out of town - should I book my flight and hotel now?

Answer

It's up to you, but here are a few things to consider: 1. The hotels will keep the listed rates and the room blocks until early September 2019 so you should book some time before then. 2. When choosing a hotel, keep check-in time in mind - the Poughkeepsie Grand has a 4 PM check-in/the Holiday Inn has a 3 PM check-in. The wedding festivities begin on Friday, 10/11/19 with the ceremony starting promptly at 5:00pm. The shuttle will begin running at 4:30pm. 3. If you decide to make a weekend of it, NYC isn't too far (about an hour by car/about 2 hours by train) and the Hudson Valley has a lot of fun activities.

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

What's the dress code?

Answer

Formal attire for all day-of wedding events.

Will transportation be provided to the ceremony/reception?

Answer

Shuttle service will be provided to transport guests from the Grand Poughkeepsie Hotel and guests from The Holiday Inn Express to The Grandview. The shuttle will begin running at 4 PM and running continuously as needed until 11 PM.
