Maid of Honor
She's been there since the very beginning. The bride's cousin, best beach companion and the life of the party. Her favorite memory with the bride: A memory I cherish is the time spent in Ocean City on our family vacations. Many years spent at the Holiday Inn on the sleeper sofa, strolling down the boardwalk in our strollers, building sand sculptures, riding bikes down coastal highway, kayaking in the ocean, and soaking up the sun!
Best Man
One of the groom's first friends, roommate, and world travel companion. He's been there pretty much from the beginning. Favorite memory with the groom: With 20 years of memories, it's hard to choose just one. However probably one of the earliest and most memorable is a sleepover at Dylan's house for his fifth birthday. The following day we woke up early and for whatever reason, I threw y underwear on my head and proceeded to run through the house. Joshua followed suit and Dylan tried and failed, to get us to be quiet. Just as we rounded the corner Dylan's mother walked out wondering what all the noise was about and we rushed to the bathroom leaving Dylan to try and explain the commotion.
Bridesmaid
The beautiful sister of the groom and the sister the bride has always wanted. Her favorite memory with the bride: Getting to go wedding dress shopping with you and mom. Even though you didn't find the one there, it was so special to be able to have that experience and memory with you. I just kept thinking about Dylan getting to see you walk down the aisle and share your special day together. Also the combination of trips we've gone on and visits you've been able to make to see us. It's been really sweet for me to witness you bonding with the whole family and seeing how easily you've joined. We all love you so much.
Groomsman
The groom met Jon during his study abroad and the memories from that trip alone will last a lifetime. But the friendship never died after HUA and though life may get in the way he is still one of Dylan's greatest friends. His favorite memory of the groom: I got to know Dylan well during our semester abroad, but some of my favorite memories together happened after we got back to normal college life. One spring break we took a road trip with a group of friends to the desert of northern Arizona and southern Utah and slept in the dirt for a week in the freezing cold. I’m pretty sure we might’ve perished had it not been for Dylan’s responsible nature, thinking ahead about things like sleeping bags, food, gas, etc. I had no business facing the Wild West as unprepared as I was, but I’ve learned you can experience greater things than you’re prepared for when surrounded by great friends like Dylan.
Bridesmaid
The bride's college roommate, sorority sister, and favorite Ravens fan. She can always be counted on and makes some awesome buffalo chicken dip for game day or be down for a Nathan For You marathon. Her favorite memory with the bride: Living together Senior year of college - the endless Dunkin runs, beach trips, and dance parties!
Groomsman
The groom also met Jared abroad and has appreciated his friendship ever since. Jared has the best sense of humor and is someone you can always depend on It's been a real inspiration watching his relationship with Emma grow over the past 5 years. His favorite memory with the groom: Dylan and I’s friendship started back in 2017. I quite often think back to the first part of our abroad trip when we would have some time to kick back and relax. Dylan would take this time to put on some country classics by Johnny Cash. Once we returned to campus, board games were a common occurrence and what I remember most is Dylan always being a tough competitor because there is nobody I have ever met that is more methodical about every move he makes in a game and more importantly, in life.
Bridesmaid
The challenges of running a sorority brought her and the bride very close together. They are Yin and Yang and bring out the best in each other. She is an incredible leader and an even better friend. Her favorite memory with the bride: Christina and I traveled to Memphis together in 2019. Our leadership positions in Chi Omega earned us the opportunity to visit Chi Omega’s National Headquarters, and while there we explored the city, fan girled over Chi Omega’s National Archivist, and connected with some amazing young women... also can't forget when we were on our way home from recruitment at 2 am and casually found a stray dog in your yard and fostered it outside for a night!
Groomsman
The groom's final college roommate, club brother, and dear friend. Sam has some of the best humor, is an incredible musician, and is a true spiritual leader. His favorite memory with the groom: I’ve had many amazing memories with Dylan from playing games in the dorm room to our hilarious nights in a prayer group. My favorite memory with Dylan has to be when he invited me to come to visit Nixa. We went to an all-you-can-play arcade and saw a big fork and an even bigger cross. We had a total blast and it signified how well Dylan shows people love and always made me feel heard and wanted. These memories will last a lifetime.
Bridesmaid
The bride's college bestie, sorority sister, and marine science study buddy. You can find the two of them at the beach doing species identification or jamming out to country music. Her favorite memory with the bride: I have too many to choose from… One of my favorite memories is when you came to visit me in Michigan over the summer and we took a road trip through Northern Michigan! We went to Higgins Lake, Mackinac Island, and Tahquamenon Falls in the Upper Peninsula. I had so much fun getting to show you around my home state, and we had a blast road-tripping and jamming out to One Direction! Can’t forget pasties and Vernors floats ;D
Groomsman
The groom's college roommate, club brother, and incredible friend. Eric has always been there to listen, pray, and support and is an incredible blessing. His Favorite memory with the groom: One of my favorite memories with Dylan was our spring break trip through Nashville, Cincinnati, and DC. Specifically being in Shenandoah National Park when Harding sent the email saying they were closing because of the pandemic. After having a nearly broken windshield, a nearly broken finger, and a nearly broken world, Dylan’s calm and steady presence was very comforting. I am glad we are friends and I am glad that I get to be part of his wedding.
Groomsman
Josh has been there from every walk of life. He is always a light to those around him and the true definition of a friend. No amount of distance changes that. His favorite memory with the groom: When I reflect on our friendship dozens of memories flood my brain: watching Harry Potter while eating the most delicious chocolate chip cookies @Cortney, hiking, canoeing, and camping in the Ozarks with our Dads, traveling to Eldorado Springs to attend the highly cherished “Picnic”, theatre in high school, and finally movies, watching them, discussing them, and sometimes falling asleep to them. It is no secret that Dylan is a movie buff or film connoisseur. I attribute some of my most enjoyable movie-watching to his recommendations. However, when I think of Dylan, it is not his movie expertise that stands out or even the memories we share. No, it is his unwavering love and loyalty. My relationship with Dylan has evolved over the years. Our time together looks a little different now than when we were 5. We have distinct personalities, interests, and careers. We now live 3 time zones apart. Despite this, Dylan and I remain loving friends. As we grew up, Dylan never ceased to support and care for me. He has truly been a faithful friend. So it is with great honor that I stand by Dylan as a groomsman and friend. So here’s to you, Dylan! May you bring the same love and loyalty into your marriage with Christina as you have in our friendship.
Ring Bearer
He's the world's best cousin and has quickly become Christina's ultimate shark buddy.
