Bill and Ashley met at church on a chilly Tuesday night on January 28, 2020. Ashley was new to the area and joined a growth group at Impact Christian Church. She was trying to meet some friends and get connected with the community. Bill was one of the people there that night. Ashley's first impression of Bill was "this guys is a total character... why does he keep looking at me? Weird but kinda cute.." HAHA! If you ask Bill, his first impression of Ashley was that her "intelligence and complexity ran as deep as her beauty." I suppose now it makes sense!

Bill and Ashley's first official date was at Moon Park. They walked around the park and played on the swings like big kids. After working up an appetite on the playground, they went to Primanti’s and had a movie night.

Bill proposed to Ashley at an abandoned overlook in Coraopolis. Over the summer of 2020, since all things were closed during the pandemic, they had to get creative with their dates. They would go there often with Sheetz drinks in hand to watch the sunset and just talk and walk around. They went there again one evening in January. Bill started asking questions about "so what do you think about spending our life together?" At that point Ashley knew it was coming. And then he popped the question! They were so excited and all they could do was giggle!
