We are getting married!

How We Met: Our paths might have crossed earlier, but destiny has a funny way of working out. Ramnik and Mounica had several chances to meet, from our time in Brooklyn in 2019 to working just a block away from each other in Orlando for a whole year. As it turned out, we finally embarked on our journey together in July 2021. Our story began in Poughkeepsie, a quaint town located two hours outside of New York City, where we started out first year of residency. We were both excited to make new friends, explore the area, and enjoy the last months of summer before enduring the brutal winters of the East Coast (which, by the way, weren't as bad as we thought they would be). Our love story started as friends, but little did we know that much more was blossoming. From spontaneous trips to NYC to long dreadful hikes up Beacon Mountain, and returning home after a grueling shift at the emergency department to finding Ramnik waiting for Mounica with a warm meal and comforting presence. Over time, our relationship blossomed from a genuine friendship into a deeper connection, and now we're both eager to explore and see where our journey takes us next. The Proposal: 5/6/2023 at Bakers Beach The beach was stunning, with a vivid and colorful gradient of red and pink hues of roses that were tastefully arranged and set against the gloomy gray skies. The roses seemed to pop out and come alive, adding a touch of warmth and beauty to the otherwise dull and overcast day. As we looked out, we could just about make out the majestic Golden Gate Bridge, peeking out of the clouds with its gleaming copper hues, creating a breathtaking sight that was both awe-inspiring and mesmerizing. As we stood there, surrounded by our families and friends, we couldn't help but feel a warm and loving atmosphere. It was the perfect setting for us to become engaged, and we will always cherish this moment as one of the happiest and most beautiful moments of our lives.
