Travel

The Wedding Website of Kimberlee King and Jeffrey Mott
For all of our amazing guests coming from far and wide, there are many places to stay in Salem, as well as Portland. Portland is about an hour's drive (or train ride) from Salem, where the wedding will take place. You may choose to stay in Salem, or stay in Portland and make the trip to Salem the day of the wedding. Though our public transit system in Portland is substantial, the public transportation in Salem leaves much to be desired. We do not recommend relying on the transit system in Salem. Below are some travel tips and a few hotel recommendations for Salem and Portland to make planning your trip as easy as possible. We tried to include a range in prices for different budgets, but of course there are tons of other options as well as vacation rentals from sites like Airbnb.

Rental Car

Uber voucher

For those taking an Uber to/from the venue, there will be a voucher code active on the 2nd and 3rd. Code: rGVrM8ASTFm To use, either book a ride through the link above or apply the voucher code when you make your ride reservation. --- To help everyone with transportation, we will provide Uber vouchers for our guests to use during the wedding weekend. Any leg of your trip we can help with, it's on us. Whether it's a ride from the airport to your stay, or to the venue on the wedding day, you can use the voucher anytime during the weekend of the wedding. Hope this helps make transportation a little easier.

Flight

PDX Airport

Most of our out-of-town guests will need to fly in to Portland International Airport (PDX). The Salem Airport is tiny with barely any commercial flights. There are many available options for public transportation and rental cars to make the next leg of the trip to Salem.

Train

Amtrak Cascades

You can take the train to get to Salem from Portland, a more scenic, and definitely more relaxing way to travel in pretty much the same amount of time it would take to drive.
