Though our public transit system in Portland is wonderful, the public transportation in Salem leaves much to be desired. We do not recommend relying on the transit system in Salem. With that in mind, we are providing an Uber voucher for guests to use the weekend of the wedding to help any leg of the trip. Please see the Travel page for the Uber link and code.
The official time the wedding starts is 4pm. That is when the ceremony will begin, so don’t be late! You don’t want to miss anything. Wedding guests are often expected to arrive in the half an hour window before hand. Please do not arrive before 3:30. We won’t be ready for you!
We are having an unplugged ceremony, so we kindly ask guests not to take photos during the ceremony. There will be a professional photographer there and we promise they will get tons of amazing shots of the wedding which we will be more than happy to share after. Let’s leave the photography to the professionals. We invite you to be truly present with us during our ceremony and put away any devices until the ceremony is over. During the reception we encourage everyone to take lots of photos and there will even be a photo booth so every one can capture their amazing outfits and costumes!
Song requests and suggestion welcome at bridgecitymusic.djintelligence.com/guest/request/kingmott
The church has a nice big parking lot out front, there should be plenty of parking for everyone.
The ceremony and reception will be indoors, but there will be a cocktail hour in between on the patio outdoors. August here is usually quite hot and that is what we will be planning for, but with Oregon you truly never know when it might rain. If it does rain, the cocktail hour will probably take place inside instead. We will keep you updated as it gets closer to the date.
An Archfey and the king's astronomer have invited you to their wedding. Fairies, gnomes, elves, goblins, mermaids, witches, and humans alike are all welcome, but you'd better dress your best! This is a royal wedding after all! We challenge you to outdo the bride but we bet you still can't ;) (Please still refrain from wearing an all white bridal-esque dress) If you need some inspiration, we made a pinterest board with a variety of ideas. pin.it/5vWpo5bCu
Prop or decorative weapons are welcome under the condition that you also bring one for the bride. The bride desires a wall of gifted wedding swords for her home ;) *Obviously for safety reasons they must be prop weapons.
We kindly ask that only the people the invitation was addressed to, attend the wedding. Thank you
We hope that all our guests will be able to attend our wedding, but if you are feeling under the weather, we kindly ask that you stay home to keep all our guests safe and healthy. If you are experiencing any symptoms, we ask that you please wear a mask and masks will be provided at the event, for you convenience. Thank you for helping us all stay safe!
