Francesca and Mike's first date included a leap of faith at the Sky Zone Trampoline Park in Rockville, Maryland. He knew he hit the jackpot while she thought he talked too much (it was the nerves I promise!) He recommended they grab lunch...and then ice skating....and then grab a drink at a local bar Francesca liked...all in the same date. Needless to say, he didn't want the day to end, and lucky for him she agreed. Since then they've faced four apartment moves, two job changes, and one Thanksgiving dinner cooked from scratch, happily together. The surprise proposal was July 2019 in Meridian Hill Park, Washington D.C. Mike invited 15 witnesses to their proposal. 50 of their closest friends and family showed up to support (haha!) Francesca thought they were on their way to brunch with both their families, and was so focused on the chicken and waffles she was getting ready to order, she didn't notice the flower petal arrangement they walked past or the professional photographers ready to capture the big moment. Under the French fountains he asked his best friend to marry him, and she said yes! They will get married on December 4th, 2021 at the Melrose Knitting Mill in Mike's hometown of Raleigh, N.C. We can't wait to share the day with you guys, as well as the weekend with those of you who will travel out to join us!
