From garage sale to the altar: how we got here.
It's funny how when you shop at garage sales, you'll often find something unexpected. And this garage sale was no exception! John was working at his brother's garage sale when Abigail and her mom came by to shop. After some chit-chat, the two exchanged information and quickly found they were a natural pair together!
A year of fun firsts, John and Abigail moved in together in 2023. Appropriately, they held their first garage sale together, threw a birthday "pawty" for Bear, went on some fun trips, and hosted the family holidays in their home together.
This was a year full of challenges, and also growth for John and Abigail. While 2024 began and ended with grief, it taught John and Abigail how to support each other through life's most difficult seasons.
John took Abigail to a special sunset dinner at the Lorain Lighthouse. Before the meal, the couple had opportunity to tour the lighthouse itself with a grand finale at the top observation deck. While Abigail was distracted by the peaceful views of Lake Erie, John knelt down with a ring and asked her to spend the rest of their lives together! Obviously, she said yes!
And here we are today! So far, 2026 has been a beautiful engagement period for us, enjoying a time of planning for the future and merging our lives together. We're so excited to celebrate our love with YOU at our wedding.
