Denver Airport (DIA)
Wherever you are coming from, one option is to fly into Denver International Airport (DIA)! From there, you will need to rent a car or carpool with others heading to Carbondale. The drive is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes (without traffic). If you'd rather take the train, you can jump on the Amtrak California Zephyr, which operates daily, with a journey time of about 5 hours and 50 minutes and tickets costing between $20 and $95. There's also a Greyhound bus which takes around 3 hours 45 minutes and could cost as little as $34.

Aspen Airport (ASE)
Aspen/Pitkin County Airport is definitely the closest and easiest option for those traveling outside of Colorado. From Aspen, it takes about 30 minutes to drive to Carbondale. If you don't want to drive, you can hop on the Roaring Fork Valley Local route operated by RFTA, which connects Aspen to Carbondale. There's a bus stop right outside the airport and several bus stops in Carbondale. Buses run every 30 minutes and you can buy tickets right at the bus stop.

Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE)
Eagle Airport is around 47 minutes from Carbondale, and tickets can be more affordable. From there, you will need to rent a car to travel to Carbondale. Or you'll need to take the bus to West Glenwood Park & Ride, and then transfer to a bus heading towards Carbondale.

Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT)
The Grand Junction airport is 1 hour and 30 minutes from Carbondale. This airport is generally more affordable than the other three airports. From there, you can rent a car and drive to Carbondale. Or you can take a Bustang bus, which operates five times a day, or consider private shuttle services like Bighorn Transport, Aspen Transportation Co., or The Valley Hopper.
