Travel Note

Where to stay

Our wedding venue is in Linkwood, Maryland, just 10 minutes from Cambridge and less than 30 minutes from Salisbury (Alex’s hometown). Guests are welcome to stay in either area, and we’ve included hotel options for both to make planning your trip a little easier. There are rental options from Airbnb and VRBO, as well as hotels to provide more choices that are best for your stay.

Flight

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport

BWI is the airport we usually fly in and out of, and it’s about 1.5 hours from the venue. It’s an easy drive across the Bay Bridge, and there are plenty of rental car options at the airport. While Uber and Lyft are available, they can be harder to find in the rural areas near the barn—so we recommend a rental car if possible.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport

DCA (Reagan National Airport) is located in Washington, D.C. and is about 1 hour and 40 minutes from both the venue and the hotels. It’s a great option if you’d like to spend a little time in the city before or after the wedding, and there are plenty of rental car and shuttle options available for the drive to the Eastern Shore.

Salisbury Regional Airport

SBY (Salisbury Regional Airport) is only 30 minutes from Breckenridge Barn and is located in Alexandra’s hometown. It’s a small regional airport, so flights are typically connecting through larger hubs, and availability can sometimes be limited. That said, it’s by far the closest option and makes for a quick and easy trip to the wedding.

Philadelphia International Airport

PHL is about a 2 hour drive from the venue and hotel lodging. This is another great option.

Travel Note

BayRunner Shuttle

If you’d prefer not to rent a car, the BayRunner Shuttle is a great option. The shuttle runs from BWI Airport to Cambridge, MD, with a convenient stop at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort—just minutes away from our venue and hotel block. The ride takes about 1 hour and 35 minutes, and shuttles run several times a day. BayRunner also offers service between BWI and Salisbury, which may be helpful depending on your travel plans.

This hotel is 10 minutes from the wedding venue and about 30 minutes from where the bride grew up! You can access the hotel block at the link provided or by calling the number and mentioning the "Morrison Edwards Wedding." Rooms for this block must be booked by April 23rd.

DoubleTree by Hilton Salisbury

This hotel is newly renovated and reopened as a Double Tree with an amazing restaurant. It is about 30 minutes from the venue, but is in the downtown area of Salisbury, where the bride is from. This location is also closer to the beach if that is something that interests you when visiting! Hotel block is accessible with the link provided and rooms must be booked by May 2nd.

Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina

If you want to make the most out of this stay, the Hyatt on the Chesapeake Bay is a must! This is a 10 minute drive from the venue. This is a more pricey option, however beautiful and worthwhile if you so choose!

This hotel is 5 minutes from Alex's childhood home and 35 minutes from the venue.
