Our adventure begins!

Skylar and Justin both grew up in San Antonio, TX and even attended the same middle school, yet they didn't have the opportunity to get to know one another until high school. It all started back in 2015 when Skylar had a dream where Justin asked her to be his homecoming date. At the time both only really knew of one another through mutual friends, but had not even spoken with each other. It felt odd to have a dream about someone she hadn't been properly introduced to, but nevertheless Skylar persisted that there was a reason Justin was in her dream and that she needed to act on it. This turned into Skylar developing a big crush on Justin and reaching out to their mutual friends to see if he'd be interested in talking to her. They were able to get each other's phone numbers, and long-night texts and calls went on until her dream finally came true... Justin asked Skylar to be his homecoming date in real life and it was everything she had dreamed of (and more!) The night of homecoming both danced with their friends and had a wonderful night together, and it ended with Justin asking Skylar to be his girlfriend in which she replied: YES! Time went on and both enjoyed hanging out with one another, but as high school ensues drama and chaos, both ultimately had to end the relationship to allow one another to grow. Fast forward to the summer of 2016 when Skylar and Justin reconnected and formed a large group of friends that all hung out together the remainder of their senior year. It was when homecoming came around again that feelings emerged between the two. Justin decided to make it his mission to get Skylar nominated as homecoming queen and campaigned for her all the way up until voting day. Then the big day came where Skylar had to walk onto the football field and wait to see if she won the crown or not. She was very nervous, but Justin didn't have any doubts. Suddenly, Skylar's name was announced in front of the whole school with family and friends cheering for her. She was crowned homecoming queen! All thanks to the support of her friends and family, and most importantly: Justin. The two secretly kept their feelings from one another but after months of being good friends, both knew that their feelings could no longer be hidden. By November of 2016 Skylar and Justin had proclaimed their feelings for one another. On February 20, 2017 Justin decided to take the opportunity of them going with friends to the San Antonio Rodeo, to ask Skylar to be his girlfriend. Skylar and Justin went onto the ferris wheel together around sunset and when they stopped at the very top, facing the beautiful city of San Antonio, Justin asked Skylar if she would be his girlfriend to which she replied: YES! Since that special day the couple has continued to thrive in their relationship, despite spending most of their time apart from one another and having to conform to long-distance dating as Justin went off to UT and Skylar stayed back in San Antonio for college. They learned to embrace the rare moments they had when they were together in person, and still made time for FaceTime dates and late night phone calls when they were distanced. Since proposing to Skylar on their five year anniversary, both Justin and Skylar have been so excited for their upcoming wedding. They love one another so much and are so happy to soon be husband and wife!
