Colectivo Coffee - Wicker Park
Where it all began! There are a few Colectivo locations throughout Chicago, but if you want to see where Morriah and Ryan went on their first date, check out the Wicker Park location on Damen Ave. Morriah's favorite is the Mango Peach Ginger smoothie, and Ryan digs Colectivo's drip.
Garfield Park Conservatory
The Conservatory in Garfield Park has a gorgeous array of biomes to explore - it's been a favorite of Morriah's for years, and was where we went on our second date!
Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary
One of Ryan's favorite spots in Chicago, this bird sanctuary is a whimsical escape from the sights and sounds of the city, just south of Montrose beach.
Lincoln Square
Kick around one of our stomping grounds - the Lincoln Square strip is loaded with cute shops, cafes, and restaurants. Gene's Deli is a personal favorite!
The 606
The 606 is an iconic Urban trail and bike route through the city's west side! If you want to get some steps in off the street, this is a great place to do it!
Poetry Foundation
If you're a creative and want to be inspired, check out the Poetry Foundation! Open 11a-5p Friday and Saturday and free to the public, this is a literary oasis with over 40,000 volumes of poetry to explore.
North Avenue Beach
One of the most popular beaches in the city, North Avenue Beach is centrally located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood, and is just a short walk across LSD from the Lincoln Park Zoo (which is free to visit!).
Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club
Cute spot for a unique night out, perfect for groups of 4!
Headquarters Beercade
Poppin' arcade bar in River North. It's a good time for free ninety nine - no cover, no pay to play, no minimum order! Food and drinks available too.
The Empty Bottle
An iconic Chicago neighborhood bar and music venue - Hard Country Honky Tonk with the Hoyle Brothers is live for a free show on Friday June 20th. Stop by next door at Pizza Friendly Pizza to grab a slice!

In-On Thai
One of Morriah's favorite restaurants, In On Thai is a staple of the Uptown food scene. We both LOVE the Masamun Curry - it's rich, creamy, and delicious!
Bloom Plant Based Kitchen
One of our favorites, Bloom wowed us both with their exploration of texture and flavor within a strictly plant based menu. They've recently stepped away from strictly GF, but still has an abundance of gluten free offerings.
Cafe Ba Ba Reeba!
Fantastic place for tapas--the papas fritas and piri piri chicken thigh bites are superb. A great place to land with a group after window shopping the Armitage strip (east on Armitage from the Armitage brown line stop).

A recent discovery of ours but a staple of the neighborhood, Sugar Moon has delicious, delightful pastries in flavors we guarantee you've never had! Get here early, because they sell out quick!

Funky bar with a 70's midwestern aesthetic, the Pink Squirrel's a cool spot with boozy shakes and duckpin bowling.
Dorian’s
Vibey, speakeasy-style bar with live music on Friday nights! $10 cover, fills up quick. Drinks are $10-15 per.

Where we went on our third date -- a James Beard Award-winning cocktail lounge, The Violet Hour is on the cutting edge of cocktail design. Perfect for couples, good for groups up to 4. (it's not your average "hole in the wall"!)
