Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We’ve reserved a room block at Hotel Tybee and the Sandcastle Inn. Please visit the travel page for the discount codes and information. Additionally, the island has many Airbnbs and boutique hotels available if that better suits you and your family!

Will transportation be provided from the hotels to the venue?

Answer

Yes! Transportation will be provided from Hotel Tybee to the venue and back—the venue is only about a 5-minute drive away. Trolleys will depart at 3:15 PM and 3:30 PM, making two trips to Chapel by the Sea to accommodate all guests. Please check back closer to the wedding in case the departure times change.

What is the nearest airport to the wedding venue?

Answer

The nearest airport to Tybee Island is Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV), located about 45–60 minutes away. Guests flying in can easily reach Tybee by car via US-80, the island’s only access road. We recommend renting a car, booking a private shuttle, or using a rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft from the airport to your accommodations. If you need help coordinating transportation or have any travel questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, we kindly ask that guests come dressed in cocktail attire. For ladies, a chic cocktail dress or elegant separates will be perfect, and gentlemen are invited to wear a tailored suit or blazer with a tie. We’re looking forward to celebrating with you in style!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We graciously request that only those listed on your invitation attend the celebration. If you’ve received an invitation with a plus-one, we’re thrilled to welcome your guest! If you didn’t receive a plus-one, we hope you understand that our decision was based on a limited guest list. If you have any special circumstances or questions, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We adore your little ones, but our wedding day will be an adults-only event. We hope this gives everyone a chance to relax and fully celebrate with us. Nursing infants are absolutely welcome, and we’ll have a comfortable, private space available for you and your baby. Children are more than welcome to join us at our Saturday event if you’ll be bringing them along for the weekend. Thank you so much for understanding!

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

The venue can accommodate up to 60 parked vehicles. However, transportation will be provided from Hotel Tybee to the venue and back later in the evening, and we kindly encourage guests to use the trolley so everyone can enjoy the celebration safely.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The trolley will depart from Hotel Tybee at 3:30 PM and 3:45 PM. The venue is approximately a 5-minute drive. Upon arrival, please enter the building; the ceremony will begin shortly after. If you plan to drive, we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the ceremony to allow time for parking and seating so you don’t miss a moment of the celebration. The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM, so please plan to be seated a bit early and enjoy the pre-ceremony atmosphere.

Yes! We have a few special events during the wedding weekend, and we’d love for you to join us: Happily Ever After… Party Date: October 2nd Time: 10:30pm Venue: RockHouse Original Bar & Grill - 1518 Butler Ave About: Join us after the reception for drinks at a local Tybee bar. Married & Mingling! Date: October 3rd Time: 4pm Venue: Treylor Park Restaurant - 1311 Butler Ave About: Join us for a post-wedding happy hour with the newlyweds, because one night just isn’t enough! Please note that event details may change as we get closer to the wedding, so be sure to check back for updates!
