Cooper and Emma first crossed paths in Syracuse, NY on Halloween night in 2018. Emma, dressed as Easy A (naturally, another redhead) was out with her friends at Clinton Street Pub. Cooper, meanwhile, had just finished working a Syracuse Crunch hockey game. It was nearly 11 p.m., when he showed up at the bar dressed as Linus from Charlie Brown. In the middle of the crowded bar, Cooper offered to buy Emma a drink. They instantly clicked and spent the rest of the night at different bars in downtown Syracuse together before Emma decided it was time for her to head home. Cooper, being the gentleman he is, insisted on walking her, even though Emma repeatedly assured him she was “totally fine" even after a few drinks. They said goodbye at her doorstep, with a promise of a first date soon and not long after they went to a murder mystery dinner which was the start of many more dates and hang outs. By late December, Cooper asked Emma to be his girlfriend—after a particularly memorable night involving the police and a robbery at Emma’s apartment. He always had great timing! Their relationship only grew from there, becoming seven years (and counting) of love, laughter, and so many moments they cherish. In April 2020, they adopted Curley, and that fall they moved in together in Liverpool, NY. After three more years Upstate, they made a big leap and moved to Miami in October of 2023. Their apartment wasn’t ready right away, so Cooper, Emma, and Curley spent a month living out of an Airbnb and then another month at Luann’s condo in Tybee Island. They fell in love with the quiet charm of the little beach town, and when it came time to choose a wedding location, they knew exactly where they wanted it to be. They can’t wait to celebrate with you in one of their favorite places in the world.
