Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America, nesting between both California and Nevada. It is a 45 minute drive through Carson City, or an hour and 10 minutes through truckee. There are plenty of stores and cute shops in Tahoe City, or hang out near the beach at Sand Harbor or Zephyr cove.
Virginia City
Virginia city developed as a “boomtown” for Nevada after the discovery of the first major silver deposit. It’s a historical city located just short of a 40 minute drive outside of Reno. Virginia city has a rich history, and plenty of cute brunch locations as well as shops.
The Eddy
The Eddy is an outdoor bar area made from old train cars. It’s an easy walk into the heart of midtown and it’s a fun-hang out area!
Great Basin Brewing Company ~ Reno
A lovely local brewery with plenty of delicious food and a great selection of beer, wine, and cocktails.
Reno Public Market
A fun indoor area to grab drinks, and your favorite local foods from mom-and pop style shops. Originally designed during covid to help keep these smaller restaurants from closing, they are now all in one area for you to eat, drink and enjoy.
Fleischmann Planetarium
A fun planetarium with educational exhibits and a full dome theater located at Morgan’s alma mater, the University of Nevada, Reno.
MidTown
Labeled as “Reno’s most unique neighborhood”, midtown has many unique shops, art, and a booming food Mecca.
The Discovery
A museum featuring all things STEM. Plenty of hands on galleries and exhibitions that many love.
Donner Memorial State Park
A California state park preserving the site of the Donner Camp where members of the ill-fated Donner Party were trapped by weather during the winter of 1846-47. The park contains the Emigrant Trail Musem and the Pioneer Monument dedicated to the travelers of the Emigrant Trail
