Morgan and Tyler met on Nantucket, May of 2021. Morgan traveled to the island from Nevada to start her first year as an intern for the Natural Resource Department. Tyler had been brought back to the island he grew up on following his graduation from Marist College. He started a new job during the pandemic which brought him back home. Morgan and Tyler met on Morgan’s 5th night in Nantucket. On their first date they spent 6 hours talking, laughing and sharing stories. A few days later Tyler went to pick Morgan up to show her all the lighthouses and back roads around the island that he knew so well. When Morgan gave Tyler her address, they discovered she was renting a room on the very street named after Tyler’s Grandmother, Jean’s Way. If this isn't a "God's Wink", we don't know what is. That first summer was spent with complete happiness, but quite a bit of uncertainty as Morgan still needed to return to Nevada to finish her final semester of Undergrad. After a covid scare which forced the couple to move in together for two months, a trip to Florida with Tyler’s family, and a trip home to introduce Tyler to Morgan's west coast family, the couple knew they were in this for the long haul. The following summer Morgan returned to the Island after completing her bachelor's degree while Tyler continued to Captain boats, a job which he took on the year prior. After enjoying their time together for 4 months, Morgan moved to Boston to start her master's program in Marine Biology. She did visit Tyler every weekend in Nantucket up until it was time to leave for Nevada for the Holidays. Morgan visited Tyler once more for New Years after he moved down to Florida for the winter to continue to captain boats, before heading to Panama. The couple spent a lot of time apart during Morgan's master's program. Tyler supported her every step of the way, calling and facetiming her in Panama in between his crazy captaining schedule and even visiting her when she moved to Washington in the Spring. The couple was reunited once more in May when Morgan moved back to their island. Tyler, unbeknownst to Morgan, knew she was the one and had designed and purchased her ring months prior to her arrival. He did, however, wait for Morgan's nails to be done (good thinking on his part) before officially proposing on June 25th, 2023. Morgan the marine biologist, and Tyler the boat captain. While one charters above waters, the other is below. “We are very excited to celebrate our journey with all of you. We are grateful for each and every one in our lives who has supported us. It wouldn’t be a celebration without you!” -Morgan and Tyler
