Depending on your lodging preference, we recommend looking around Lake Junaluska or Waynesville proper. They have plenty of hotels as well as Airbnbs and Vrbo rentals to choose from.
Try to avoid booking your stay in the town of Canton (they have a paper mill, which would make for a stinky stay). For those looking to stay in or around Asheville, although its super cute, just know that its a hopping place, and the traffic is no joke.
