Best Man
Timothy Onime is Theophilus's artsy brother. We share an unbreakable bond. When you've known Theophilus for as long as I have, he normalizes amazing accomplishments. Because of these expectations I now have, it becomes hard to be impressed, yet impossible to not be proud.
Bridesmaid
Clowns call me Sara. Morgan & Theo call me Sara Rose. God calls me out for missing church on the regular.
Groomsman
I'm Ariel. I'm from Singapore and was an international student in CMU studying psychology and neuroscience. I now work in SG as a property manager. Theo and I became close friends while rooming together in senior year of college. I was a staunch atheist back then and would often challenge him aggressively about his faith. Over time, what started as intellectual sparring matches turned into deep conversations filled with genuine curiosity, empathy, and care, as we both came to understand and respect each other's views. Theo changed the way I saw myself. And without trying, he changed the way I saw Christianity as well. "Don't evangelize. But live your faith in a way that is convincing and compelling to those around you, and they will come to you of their own volition."
Bridesmaid
Friends call me Chie. Nobody calls me a clown, because I'm not. Only foolish for Christ.
Groomsman
Logan and Theophilus met in the summer of 2015 at New York University's InterVarsity Asian American Christian Fellowship. Each of them was coming in from different schools, spending time with this group, while interning in Manhattan. Logan and Theo got to spend 1:1 time in December of that year at InterVarsity's Urbana15 student missions conference in St. Louis, MO. Then they both ended up in New York Metro again for full-time jobs starting in 2016. When together in public, they love spontaneously rapping, and especially dancing, shamelessly. In private, they like to pow-wow very personally, sometimes about romantic relationships. Theo has told Logan that he is grateful for Logan's faithful persistence in spending 1:1 time with him.
Bridesmaid
Friends call me a clown. Morgan and Theo call me Alina. God calls me out of darkness into His marvelous light.
Groomsman
Daniel is a Pittsburgh native and current resident and CMU grad. Daniel and Theo first became friends at Carnegie Mellon University after taking classes together and were roommates sophomore year (2013-14). Living together Dan and Theo shared their faith in God and the stresses of CMU classes. Theo broadened Dan’s horizons, teaching him that some people like to microwave their cold breakfast cereal. And Dan would help Theo process the frustration and anger that arose with his failed attempts at dorm-room-waffle-making. Together they twice trained for and ran the Pittsburgh Half Marathon. Dan also has the distinct honor of buying Theo his first legal drink.
