Evergreen Lake
Evergreen Lake is beautiful, and right in downtown Evergreen. There is an easy walking trail (about 1 mile) around the lake, perfect if you're still getting used to the altitude. If you're not up for a walk around the lake, just park in the parking lot and walk to the back of the lodge for a great picture!
Mount Falcon Park West Trailhead
Mount Falcon Park offers beautiful mountain views and several hiking trails. The West parking lot is about 25 minutes from the Comfort Suites and about 15 minutes from downtown Evergreen. We took some engagement pictures here and loved the views! You can see amazing views just a quick walk from the parking lot, if you plan to do more hiking make sure you allow time to get acclimated to the altitude.
Golden Gate Canyon State Park Visitor Center
Golden Gate Canyon State Park offers more beautiful views. If you just want to drive through, there are pull off points to explore. There are also hiking trails throughout the park- check out the website for one you may enjoy! Golden Gate Canyon is about 40 minutes from the Comfort Suites and about 45 minutes from downtown Evergreen.
Lariat Lodge Brewing Co.
We have enjoyed brunch and lunch at Lariat Lodge on our trips to Evergreen. More importantly, the beers are also great! Lariat Lodge is just off the Main Street through downtown Evergreen. Cheers!
Vivian's Gourmet
Morgan LOVES cupcakes- she has taste tested many cupcakes/bakeries over the years and Vivian's is a great one for anyone's list. Vivian's Gourmet will be doing the desserts at our wedding, so definitely save room for all the goodies at our wedding, but if you have extra time or a sweet tooth like Morgan's, be sure to check out Vivian's Gourmet. We both love the cinnamon rolls- hopefully they aren't already gone by the time you get there! If you miss the cinnamon rolls, you can't go wrong with anything else they have.
