Rusty and I decided to do a private, intimate ceremony so that they day felt special to us. We are excited to exchange our vows in the beautiful mountains of Breckenridge in a very stress-free and meaningful way. However, we still want our friends to be part of the celebration, so we are organizing a weekend in Denver for everyone to join us afterwards.
Nope! Our informal welcome reception on Friday night will be at a brewery, so no need to dress too fancy. Women, feel free to wear a cute summer dress and for the men, a button down and nice jeans will work. For the rest of the weekend, make sure to bring athletic wear if you are joining us on the hikes and some comfortable casual clothes to wear out for the evening activities.
Sure, as long as they're up for a good time! Since we're doing more of a celebratory weekend than a formal wedding, the more the merrier. Please let Morgan know so she can make sure she has enough room available at the informal welcome reception on Friday night.
The time indicated on the schedule is the time that we are aiming to leave the Denver metro area. Both hikes are within one hour of the city, so we're hoping to actually start the hikes around 8/8:15am. The idea is to go early in the morning because there are afternoon thunderstorms during the summer in Colorado and we will be above the treeline for a portion of hike 1 and all of hike 2. Drink in moderation on Friday and Saturday night and you should be fine for the hikes :)
Feel free to leave Denver whenever you'd like. For those who want to leave on Sunday, if you plan to hike Mount Bierstadt with us, an evening flight (after 5pm) should work. If you plan to leave on Monday, we can get a small group together Sunday night for more drinks and food!
